This is a website for the residents and visitors to Costa Mesa, one thing i always want to do is explore local businesses I’m especially interested in things that are built in Costa Mesa. One such company is the Electric Bike Company which is having the grand opening of its giga factory this weekend in Costa Mesa.

This company was started in nearby Newport Beach by Sean Lipton-Smith a person that already had a successful career in the restaurant business. Sean saw a potential for electric bikes to get non cyclists riding bikes because by the addition of electric batteries things like hills would become less of an issue.

The company sells a pretty good range of bikes that generally run in the $1,800 to $2,200 range so not inexpensive but similar to other electric bikes. The company also offers a scooter for about $1,000 with all designed and built here in Orange County. The company offers a five year warranty on its batteries and ten year warranty on its motor and frame.

To celebrate the grand opening of the factory in Costa Mesa a grand opening party will be held this Saturday between 10am and 6pm with food drinks and a raffle at 1351 Logan Avenue in Costa Mesa, CA 92626.
