Lawry’s Carvery To Close Monday After Nearly 20 Years

Jan 13th 2022: Lawry’s Restaurants has announced that it is closing Lawry’s Carvery in South Coast Plaza Monday after a nearly twenty year run. The company said the lease was up and, the company plans to rejoin the community later this year with a new brand called Populaire which will open in the same space.

Lawry’s Cavery opened at South Coast Plaza in 2002 and, was known for its amazing sandwiches. The new restaurant Populaire is described by the company as a modern bistro with French influences. Two other nearby Lawry’s Restaurants in Corona Del Mar the Five Crowns as well as Sidedoor are going to remain open.
