July 18th 2024: Its what many people in Costa Mesa and surrounding areas have been waiting for tomorrow is the opening day of the OC FairOpens in a new tab.. This years theme is “Always A Good Time” with this years addition running over 23 days of fun and live entertainment.

Costa Mesa Independence Day Celebration This July 3rd

July 1st 2024: This Wednesday July 3rd is the annual City Of Costa Mesa celebration for Independence Day. This family friendly event as usual happens at the OC Fair & Event CenterOpens in a new tab. you just enter parking lot A from 88 Fair Drive.

The event starts at 5 pm and runs through 11 pm with food drinks, music and fireworks. The live music is by local favorite Tijuana Dogs and the 80’s All-Starz. There is also fun activities for the kids to keep them entertained.

The firework show itself is at 9:30 pm. If you want to relax in a family group bring your lawn chairs and picnic items plus lawn chairs as the people of Costa Mesa celebrate Independence Day. No glass containers or bottles allowed also no hard sided coolers or outside alcohol permitted.

The Fish Fry Returns June 28th

June 20th 2024: The Fish Fry returns starting next Friday June 28th at its historical location at Lions ParkOpens in a new tab. for a third year in a row after being held at Fairview Park for seven years This is the 77th edition of this popular community event.

The Fish Fry is run by the Lion’s Club and, features of course the fish fry as well as concerts and carnival rides; Also, there are booths as well as a beer and wine garden. The musical entertainment is provided by blues and rock bands.

If you plan on attending the event is free to the public although the famous fish dinners are $15 each. If you plan on attending parking for the event is limited so you might consider using a ride share service such as Uber or Lyft, bus or parking offsite and just walking in.

June 20th 2024: It getting close to many people’s favorite time of the year when people celebrate the countries independence with July 4th Independence Day which is right around the corner. Apart from the parades, patriotic clothes, burgers and hot dogs many people love to watch fireworks; The fireworks can be at a organized display or in the back yard or street for the few cities that allow safe and sane fireworks.

Costa Mesa is one city that does allow the purchase of safe and sane fireworks with all the stalls around town being a big money maker for the non profit groups that run them. The firework stand at the fairgrounds is run by Costa Mesa High School Baseball in Lot E at the OC Fair & Event Center. Fight Club OC Returns This Thusday

June 17th 2024: The always popular Fight Club OC a hybrid Boxing & MMA fight series returns again this Thursday June 20th. The fights will take place at as usual at The Hanger at the OC Fair & Event CenterOpens in a new tab.. The Baja Blues Bar & Grill Happy Hour is from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The Hanger doors will open at 6 pm with the first fight starting at 7 pm.

Their are three high definition cameras always on the action displaying the fights on a 40′ x 40′ LED HD video display including instant replays.
