Earlier in the week came the announcement that the Night Of Lights OC event was canceled after Governor Gavin Newsom announced a 10pm curfew; The event is a drive through display of lights and other attractions that we discussed in detail in a previous story.
Now comes the news that the Night Of Lights OC event is back after Orange County and Costa Mesa Community leaders got together to allow the event to happen.
The new dates are from December 10th to January 10th and, the event will comply with the Governor’s limited stay at home order.

If you missed this months movie nights on the plaza at the Segerstrom Center For The Arts you still have two movie nights next month on December 18th and 19th.
The first movie on December 18th is the Will Ferrell Christmas classic Elf as a human child raised by Santa’s eleves.
For the second movie event on December 19th is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer as well as Frosty’s Winter Adventure in a double bill of the classic Christmas television specials.
The movies are shown on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza and phone reservations are required, both shows start setting up at 5:30 pm and, start at 6:30 pm.
Ticket prices are $30 for the show and include a 10’ x 7’ viewing pod that is 6’ away from the next one. Only yourself and those attending with you will be in the pod with a maximum of six people. Masks must be worn and all social distancing procedures we have all gotten used to will apply.

Tickets can be purchased by phone only by calling (714) 556-2787 between 10 am and 2 pm Monday to Friday. 48 hours before the event you will be contacted to see how many people will be in your pod.
