July 15th 2023: Yesterday was the opening day of the Orange County Fair which began its 23 day which runs through August 13th. The annual event draws huge crowds to the OC Fair & Event Center for its concerts, racing pigs, huge portion fair food, carnival rides and booths.
If you purchase a concert ticket it also gives you same day admission to the OC Fair. If you plan on visiting the OC Fair you need to buy your tickets online and, has been the case in recent years there is a limit on attendance so most days do sell out.
There is always new stuff at the OC Fair but many fan favorites are returning such as comedian and hypnotist Mark Yuzuik, Magician Frank Thurston, the always popular All Alaskan Racing Pigs as well as the singing karaoke with a live band at the Plaza Pacifica Stage.

New Carnival Rides:
The carnival rides always draw a lot of people and three new thrill rides have been added this year Raptor a roller coaster and, Joker 360 which is spinning carriages at the end of a huge arm; The third ride added is Slingshot which shoots people in to the air with a reverse style bungee.
New Acrobatic Act:
A new acrobatic act called the Flying Royals has been added near the Green Gate with shows scheduled every 30 minutes between the hours of 2 pm and 9 pm daily.
