March 8th 2022: As you might have noticed the price of gas across Orange County has soared hitting new records prices. The average price of a gallon of gas has risen with its biggest increase since July of 2015 with at the time of writing the average price is over $5 a gallon.
Unfortunately, with the current Russian invasion of Ukraine pushing prices globally higher there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight to price rises. Also with the recent banning of Russian oil exports to the United States the price per gallon is likely to go even higher.
The higher gasoline prices come at a bad time for Orange County residents which are already suffering from higher rent prices as well as increased inflation on everything including food. Hopefully gas prices will stabilize at some point although they have a tendency to increase as we get closer to the Summer travel season.
