February 16th 2023: A fast growing budget airline started by Jet Blue co founder David Neeleman has announced at the end of last year that it was coming to John Wayne Airport (SNA) in 2023. The new airline Breeze Airways starts service today with flights to Provo (PVU), Utah as well as Orlando (MCO), Florida.

The new flights will be offered starting at $49 to Provo and, $119 to Orlando for one way flights. The new service to Orlando also gives people in Orange County access to Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando in Florida.

Other routes Breeze Airways will be flying to out of John Wayne Airport (SNA) include Charlestown (CHS), Cincinnati (CVS), Columbus (CMH), Pittsburgh (PIT) and Providence (PVD), Rhode Island.

About:

Breeze Airways began flying in March of 2021 and offers over 100 non stop flights from 34 airports and is similar to the Jet Blue model of affordable fares but with perks you don’t always see on a budget airline with less fees. Hopefully the Orange County market does well for Breeze Airways and they are able to open up flights for new locations in the future.
