The recent closure of the Ruby’s Diner at the end of the Huntington Beach pier as well an location in Oceanside has made people wonder about the other Ruby’s locations. A spokesperson for the restaurant has said that its other current open locations including the original location at the Balboa Pier will remain open.
The other Ruby’s Diner locations currently open in Orange County include other than the for mentioned Balboa location as well as Anaheim, Corona Del Mar, Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo, Orange, and Tustin,
The location at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa is currently closed with no word on when or if the location will reopen. I’m a big fan of Ruby’s with its good burgers and fries as well as thick milkshakes I’m going to have to visit the Balboa location soon.
The new permanent bridge shelter is due to open later next month in a location near John Wayne Airport. The new location is the first homeless shelter to have some of IKEA’s design team work on some of the shelters aspects. The shelter will also be outfitted with IKEA furniture and, fittings.
The new 72 bed facility will be for the cities of Costa Mesa and Newport Beach after Newport Beach decided to join in on the funding of the Costa Mesa shelter.
The new shelter will also have a full service kitchen and office space with staff that will also try to transition the people to permanent housing situation.
Location: 3175 Airway Av, Costa Mesa
The City Of Costa Mesa has got a memorandum of understanding from the City Of Newport Beach to partner with them on a 70 bed homeless shelter being built in Costa Mesa.
The Bridge Shelter is under construction in a 12,285 square foot portion of an industrial building on Airway Avenue in Costa Mesa. Construction on the homeless shelter is expected to be completed in January with a opening sometime in March.
The two cities getting together makes sense and, the location in a light industrial area makes sense as the lack of residential areas nearby.
